On May 30, the Zhuzhou City Youth Science and Technology Star Honor Ceremony was held, solemnly recognizing 30 young science and technology stars and paying tribute to the city’s vast community of scientific and technological professionals. Deng Xiongfang, a senior R&D engineer at Lince Group, received the award.
Academician Liu Youmei of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a speech, and Ding Rongjun attended. Zhang Jingmen, a pioneer in China’s first generation of cemented carbide experts, offered remarks via video, while Cao Huiquan, Secretary of the Zhuzhou Municipal Party Committee, extended his best wishes to the city’s young scientific and technological talents.

After graduating with a master’s degree in 2014, Xiong Fang joined Lince Group, where he has been primarily responsible for the research and development of vehicle connection products, including gangways and articulation systems. To achieve technological breakthroughs, he proactively benchmarked against industry leaders and led his team to successfully resolve critical “bottleneck” technical challenges in articulation systems. As a result, Lince Group has achieved full product line coverage and domestic substitution for gangways and articulation systems in the rail transit sector, filling a significant gap in the domestic market. Three of its technological achievements—“Series‑based Chinese‑Standard Type A Metro Train Gangway,” “Four‑Module Low‑Floor Tram Articulation System,” and “Float‑Type Low‑Floor Tram Articulation System”—have been recognized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology as being at an “internationally advanced level.”
