Summary:

On July 30, the 1,000th Vectron top cover rolled off the production line at Liancheng Group in Munich. This milestone marks another significant achievement in the strategic partnership between the Group and Siemens since the Group entered the European rail‑transport equipment market in 2006. Attending the rollout ceremony were Guo Naishun, General Manager of Siemens Mobility Equipment (China) Co., Ltd., along with other senior officials, as well as Xiao Yongmin, Chairman and General Manager of the Group, and Vice General Managers Yang Jiong and Li Xixi, together with heads of key business platforms and the Vectron project’s manufacturing team.

Guo Nai-shun delivered a speech on behalf of the Siemens team. He remarked that completing 1,000 units in a single rail‑transport project is an extraordinary achievement. The dedicated and united efforts of all Liancheng employees, coupled with the manufacturing team’s professional expertise, unwavering commitment, and relentless pursuit of excellence, are truly commendable. He noted that Liancheng has not only excelled in delivering the Vectron‑series roof panels but has also successfully installed and put into safe passenger service the cooling system for the Mireo platform this June, while the Finnish‑specification roof panels passed their initial inspection in July. These milestones collectively underscore Liancheng’s robust manufacturing and management capabilities. He emphasized that the ceremony marking the rollout of the 1,000th Vectron roof panel in Munich carries significant weight and profound significance.

Xiao Yongmin, on behalf of the Group, expressed gratitude to the Siemens team for their consistent guidance, support, and assistance. He emphasized that the market is a reflection of one’s capabilities, and only by continuously enhancing our own competencies can we seize greater market opportunities. He stated that the Group will remain committed to benchmarking against world-class enterprises, taking Siemens as its model, relentlessly innovating, embracing change, and advancing toward high-quality development.

According to reports, in 2007, Siemens signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Liancheng Group and relocated the Vectron roof‑panel production line from Munich to Liancheng. Starting in 2008, the company successfully completed trial production of the first roof panel, earning recognition for its manufacturing capabilities. Since then, annual output has grown from an initial 50 sets to 200 sets per year, with products now in service on railways operated by Germany’s Federal Railway Authority as well as in Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania. The Mireo platform cooling unit marks the first time Siemens Mobility has sourced railway system‑integration components from China. From the project’s inception in September 2016, Siemens and Liancheng promptly assembled top‑tier teams to undertake development and design; to date, a total of 74 cooling units have been delivered. The Finnish‑style roof panel represents China’s first domestically produced double‑layer aluminum alloy roof, and when compared with previously manufactured export‑grade panels and domestic locomotive aluminum alloy roofs, it further underscores Liancheng’s manufacturing capabilities aligned with international standards.
